Ferris Wheel on the Santa Monica Boardwalk
I think everyone has a favorite place, somewhere beautiful that makes you happy. There are a lot of places that make me feel this way. But over the summer I spent a lot of time in one of my favorite cities. Venice Beach, just north of Los Angeles. I spent five weeks in Malibu, while I attended the Los Angeles Ballet Summer Intensive (great school, by the way). Everything about Venice makes me smile. In the summer, the beach and skateboard ramps, and boutique ice cream shops along the boulevard. In the winter, galleries and coffee shops on Abbott Kinney, and my favorite restaurant, Superba-whose red sauce gnocchi and marshmallow chocolate fondue Smore is key. But I digress. The culture and vibe of the city is something I appreciate, and relate to.Venice beach holds a special place in my heart, and I suspect it always will.

Minnesota

So last month I went on a trip with my dad to Minnesota. He works in North Dakota, so I rarely see him. We stayed in St. Paul for about a week, and took a few small sightseeing trips when we weren't lounging around on the couch. First, we drove up to this beautiful water fall, and hiked down by the river. The air was warm and almost a little humid, but it was absolutely lovely. We saw three adorable baby chipmunks running around below the path, and everything was a vibrant green. It was like being in a magical forest; I've never seen anything so wonderful.
Some greats shopping at the Mall of America, largest mall in the continental US! I sure didn't come home empty handed. They have so many stores, you can get everything you need-or want there. They are even equipped with a miniature amusement park and aquarium!
The twin cities are beautiful, and I had such a great time staying there. I definitely recommend Minnesota as the destination of your next vacation!

New Blog!

Hey Everyone!

So I'm starting this blog, not entirely sure where I'm going with it.  I'll post some pictures of me, and where I go, what I eat, wear, etc.  Please feel free to let me know if there's something you'd like to see.  Thanks!
